I'm new and have questions about rush!

Hey! My name is katie and i'm going to ball state university next year! can't wait (: i'm sooooo excited to rush but i have a question about what we're supposed to wear.

for second rounds it's like a business casual day, and it says skirts are not recommended. but i have the most perfect skirt to wear for it! do you think it's ok if i still wear it? why aren't they recommended?

any help would be awesome! thanks! (:

Maybe everyone has to stand on their head for a minute to make it to round three. Doesn't matter. If they don't recommend them, don't wear them. If I were to make a guess it's because of the t-shirt you're going to be wearing that day.

At my school (not Ball State) PNMs have to sit on the floor in small rooms for several rounds. You have about 2 square feet to sit in. Someone wearing a skirt would be really uncomfortable. Every year, PNMs ignore this rule and regret it.

That said, some SEC schools "officially" say shorts and tees are fine for the first rounds, and any SEC greek will tell you that's not the case. Sometimes the party line doesn't match reality. If you can, talk to someone who has rushed at your school. But because your school specifically states that skirts aren't recommended, I would play it safe and wear something else.

My daughter is in a chapter at BSU and says that skirts don't work since many chapters have pnms sit on the floor. She says it's funny to see girls in skirts try to maneuver! Hope this helps and good luck.

Are flowing pants (what I used to call palazzo pants) in style? Or should they stick to capris? Capris are not always the best if you have a honkytonk badonkadonk.

Opinions? BSU is in Indiana and rush is casual

The shorts are cute. I'd go for the white button up though, and push your sleeves up to make a half, 3/4 sleeve. I'd go for the flats, as you will be walking alot.
