If you are at small town college in chapter XYZ, but tansfer to a big college that has the same chapter XYZ... can you become active at the new big school?

Yes. Depending on the chapter and the org's transfer policies. It's not a sure thing, though.

However, you haven't even been through recruitment or gotten a bid to a chapter yet. So, first things first before you start talking about transfering chapters of a sorority that you aren't even in.

Ok Miss Thang  I should have added that I'm asking for my friend that is afraid to ask her chapter because its not a sure thing yet, so she doesn't want them to get mad/upset. Her moving depends a lot on that. But thanks for your input..

Then I'm sure your awesome sorority friend can answer all the basic questions you've been asking here.

You guys have some serious issues, the rudeness is so uncalled for. And no, my "awesome" friend doesn't know every little thing, just like you don't. Plus, why would I nag her with my constant questions when there's a world of information here on GC? Chill.

I wasn't being rude. You have yet to see me in rudeness mode.

I'm just saying that it's dumb to ask about transfering when you haven't received a bid.

I also don't think it's rude to suggest that you ask people you know about sorority life at your school.

I think you're the one who needs to chill.

You're the one who threw up the rude attitude. Everyone has been extremely helpful to you here until you started that unnecessary snark. Nice way to treat strangers who you are asking for help. I don't think you'll have to worry too much about people helping you here now.

If we don't know "every little thing", why do you trust the "world of information" on Greekchat anyway? Is it just that you'd rather "nag" strangers than your imaginary friend?

Good luck with your recruitment, Anna T.

I got an attitude because I'm basically being accused of lying, which I do not appreciate at all. Why would I lie about that? (rhetorical question).

I don't consider asking everyone on here questions nagging because you obviously like answering them. If I asked ONE person every question I had... I imagine that would get annoying.

Point out the post that shows someone accusing you of lying.

Referring to my friend sarcastically as "awesome" and "imaginary", I'd say that is pretty much saying I'm lying.

But, it's whatever! I'll ask someone else.

Wow. People have been nothing but helpful and nice here to you.

You said yourself you should have said right away that it was for a friend. ONE person said "awesome" and "imaginary." NOT the one who was giving you real help. Yet you got super pissy and defensive with KSUViolet right away. Uncalled for.
