new org on campus

okay so a group of ladies has been tring to bring a new org on our campus for about 2.5-3 years. its coming to the end and these girls are graduating, leaving 4-5 girls left to even try n bring it on cmpus and keep on campus. my aunt is telling me shes suprised i havent tried going for another org (she herself is a sister of ZPhiB). i've thought about it, but not only am i in love with this organization, but i don;t want the situation to look like i just want letters. anyone have advice on whether i should keep waiting to see what happens or should i try for this other organization?

You only need to create one thread. :)

If you are a member of an interest group of women trying to charter an already founded NPHC sorority, I assume you all have followed the proper guidelines to make this happen. If you do not know whether the proper sorority and school guidelines have been followed, you need to make that happen.

If this sorority is the sorority that is in your heart (that means you have researched this sorority and also know that you do not want to be in the other sororities) you should want to be a member of THIS sorority whether you cross through a collegiate chapter or an alumnae chapter.

Hopefully you knew all of that already. ;)

Yea it said it didnt post so i tried a different forum..oh well :) we've followed all guidelines and the only thing holding us back is expansion acceptance, numbers, and being accepted by our university (the org doesn't have a national council). i fell in love with it fairly early and i know this is what i want to do, i'm only scared that we wont become part of our campus any time soon. we've been told that some groups have waited up to five years to become part of a university.

Okay then you are not talking about an NPHC sorority.

Either way, go with what you have fallen in love with and don't join another sorority just because it exists. However, if this sorority that you have fallen in love with does not have alumnae membership intake, realize that you will never be a member of this sorority if you do not become a member while in college.
