Conversation

I am really shy and I was looking at a thread on here about conversations and personality. It suggested finding threads with possible questions a rusher would ask the rushee and practice making answers to those questions. I've looked through threads but I don't think any of them specifically had a list questions to expect and I was wondering if someone would tell me some questions I can expect so I can practice my answers.

Hi, while I haven't been through recruitment yet I heard that they ask a lot of questions such as:
How was your summer?
How are you liking (Whichever school you're at)
What made you decide to go through recruitment?

A lot of sort of general questions. Of course, each sorority is different so we can't ever be sure!

The best answers to any questions are the sincere ones! Most of them will be pretty general, so you won't have to think too hard. It might help to doing some thinking beforehand about why you chose your school/major, why you were interested in recruitment, what your hobbies, experiences and best memories are, etc. Make a list of the things that make you unique, so they will be fresh in your mind.

Also jot down a few general questions to ask the sorority women. Things like, what do you like about being in a sorority at this school? What do you like best about your sorority? Is there a favorite tv show/game/activity that you all do together?

And remember, every one of those girls rushing you has been on the other side. Some are new to recruiting and are likely just as nervous.

Commonly, a rusher will ask you if you have any questions. It would be good to have a few filed away in the back of your mind for reference. If you do a little bit of research on the sororities before hand (visiting their national websites), you should be able to come up with something. You could also take it in a more personal direction, like asking your rusher why she chose her sorority or what she likes best about sorority life. Hope this helps!
