Calm down and get a hold of yourself! At this point, you really don't know who has your credit card. I realize that you're upset--I would be really angry too--but you're jumping to conclusions.

Defaming an entire organization for the possible actions of one member is unfair. I know that you're blowing off steam and you don't really mean what you wrote, but these things can really hurt other people's feelings and they have a way of coming back to bite you.

Remember that as Alpha Gams, we are to "covet beauty in environment, manner,word and thought." Let's all try to live up to our Purpose a little better, especially on a public forum.

I'm not telling you this to criticize you; rather, I love you as my sister and I don't want to see you do something that may end up hurting you. Please let us know what happens when you do find out what's going on with your card. I know that the authorities will take the appropriate action.

dang girl. i was 'bout rolling on the floor after reading your post. i know that i shouldn't but dang. i can sit here and see a mental image of you all pissed off and it was kind of amusing just cause the only time i met you, you were all sweet and nicey. ::Grins:: lots of alpha gam love to you. it will all work out. think happy thoughts!

Whoa, watch it! This is a public forum, and you are going to offend a lot of women. I realize you are letting off steam, but your words are inappropriate.

Hey Sarah ... I'm sorry to hear about your less-than-ideal experience with that individual & also 'losing' your ID & cc's ... trust me when I say that I know how you feel! My supervisor this past summer 'borrowed' my corporate amex that I handed in when I quit (it was THAT bad) & proceeded to have his car detailed & bought a few (dozen) rounds at a local nightspot ... it took me months to rid myself of these fraudulent charges, & he's now facing a fraud investigation! Anyway, I know just how frustrated you must be right now ... definitely do get the surveillance & follow up with the cc company & stick it to the culprit!!

In the meantime, do know that while the conduct of this individual was obviously VERY unbecoming for anyone, let alone a Greek woman, she is only ONE member of that organization. As such, do try to remember that she definitely DOES NOT represent their entire organization (heaven forbid!!) ... it's her that you're mad at (& rightfully so!) , not her GLO. Believe me, if you were to ask any of her sisters here on gc, I am very confident that they too would denouce her behavior as very 'unsisterly'!! Don't waste your time or energy getting yourself riled up any more - she's soooo NOT worth it!!! my advice ... since she is only ONE member, perhaps it would be best to focus on her in your post & not condemn the organization - no sense in upsetting the online members of that organization.

ok, I'll step down from my soapbox now. Sarah, do take care of yourself & know that your online sisters will always have your back :)

With the survelliance I am sure you will bust her. Even though she was right in front of you it only takes a second for someone to steal from it, so it might not be her. But if it is her she will go to jail and I am sure Phi Mu will boot her out. Hopefully with a calmer head you will realize that her org in not at fault as well.

UGH! I'm so sorry to hear what has happened. I hope everything pans out and you catch the thief! I understand your anger and frustration. :(

This post is making me so f*&%ing mad. How can people do these things? I would definitely prosecute plus I would take her to Judge Judy-she would kick some a$$. Good Luck!

I would have to agree with most that it is not a good idea to write negative comments about others in writing because they can come back to haunt you!

I know that you were angry, I would also be ticked off and would not let her and those involved get away with it.

Very smart of you to get that video shoot and I would definetly prosecute. As for her parents, I would hope that her father being a lawyer would be a person with integrity that would see how his daughter was wrong and would not stand by her as she tries to defend herself. If I were you, I would consider writing a professional letter to her executive committe at her chapter and I would cc her international headquarters. I believe that her behavior (Once you can prove that it was actually behavior that she did partake in!) deserves suspension from her sorority so that she learns a lessson and so that others will learn from her mistake. I know that if someone in my chapter did something as mischevious and as drastic as that, I would definetly pursue that and make it my personal goal (this may sound very malicious, but from what you say about her reactions after you confronted her, she needs a lesson!)

This just keeps getting better and better, Sarah! What on earth was she thinking?!?!

"My dad is a lawyer and he'll get me out of it anyway." Instead of getting her out of it, he should be taking her over his knee! If I ever heard my child talking about me like that...well, let's just say they wouldn't be able to sit down for a while.

If this is her first offense, she'll probably plead out and get some kind of community service and restitution. But her attitude about it is so blase, that I get the feeling she's done this before. So who knows what will happen. At the least they will charge her with larceny and credit-card fraud.

I would be very surprised if her membership isn't pulled after this. I wouldn't want a known felon---and an unrepentant one at that--around my chapter! It would reflect badly on everyone, and believe me, the word spreads fast.
