Mary Kay
Anyone sell it or use it?
My friend won a free "show" (lack of a better word) through David's Bridal. The Mary Kay representatives were incredibly nice. They went through the spiel about Mary Kay and quite honestly I didn't know much about how the company was founded or anything. I was impressed with what the company donates money too and how much the representatives make. |
I went to a "show" in college and the products made my face break out. My skin is very sensitive, though. Some people like the products and use them all the time.
You might want to do some research. MK is an MLM, though some people don't care. There is a site where ex-MK sellers spill the beans on what it's really like. http://www.pinktruth.com/index.php?o...lms&Itemid=147 |
I read recently that Alpha Chi Omega had teamed up with Mary Kay to spread the word about Domestic Violence...

MLM = multi-level marketing scam. A pyramid scheme.

All I know is Satin Hands = AMAZING.

I agree about Satin Hands. I love that stuff. I really like their mask/scrub too. Their triple eye enhancing cream is really nice also. I wouldn't sell the stuff because of the whole MLM thing but when I can find someone who isn't pushy, I will buy those three products.
|
The whole key is to find a rep you like who isn't so into it that she has a picture of MKA next to her bed. :) One of my best friends sells it. Satin Hands and the waterproof mascara are both good.

I went to a meeting once ( unemployed, vulnerable, nothing else to do) and, not to be a jerk, but all the women there had AWFUL skin with caked-on makeup. I was out.

My big/best friend sells or used to. It works great for her, she isn't getting ripped off and she likes their products and uses it herself. She is constantly beside herself at my lack of interest of any sort :p

I used the Velocity line. While I'm technically old enough to use Timewise, Velocity works better on my skin. And my fave lipstick is and will always be Dowtown Brown. I think it was discontinued or stopped being sold for a time and I was beside myself, lol. My sister used to sell it though and she gave me all her leftover stock. :D

One of my alumna sisters sells Mary Kay, and does quite well. And, to get to my house, one must pass "the Mary Kay House". I've never met the people, but there are always two pink Cadillacs or whatever the car of the year is. (I feel as if I should have used KSUViolet's pink!) |
I don't prefer it, although my mom sold Jafra when I was younger so for skin care, if I'm going to order from that kind of company I'd rather have that.
Although, in high school one of my guy friends gave me a nice little perfume set for a secret santa exchange (His mom sold Mary Kay) and one of them was really nice! I'd rather go to Sephora or order Avon. |
