Where to get a cute oxford for day 2 recruitment!

So my chapter is doing oxfords with our day two look. A lot of girls have been complaining that the only nice oxfords out there are $60+ and the want a cheaper option. Anyone know of nice fitting, quality oxfords at a cheaper price? or possibly where to get RL ones for less?

LL Bean has them for $34 -- http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/22369?feat=2-SR0

Have you tried google for Polo stores in outlets? I'm not sure where you are but I know of several Southern outlets than have Polo stores. Also, they're usually cheaper in the boys departments.

Keep in mind, if you do summer recruitment, oxfords really show sweat stains easily.

Good luck ;)

Definitely if you're tiny enough buy stuff in the boys' departments.

If you're not, Land's End sells them online and at Sears stores.

You don't need to buy Ralph or Brooks Brothers.

Seriously take into consideration the bolded...my chapter did end up doing Oxfords one year, but ordered a light color, which helps. (Not white...if white gets damp, you know what'll happen...no one wants to see the goodies.)

They ordered theirs from a Greek product supplier and had them monogrammed (which they ordered as a chapter). This ends up being a much cheaper option...see if your chapter will consider doing it. IIRC they were somewhere around $20, monogrammed. And they did turn out to be of decent quality, which was a worry before hand. Pay attention to all of the details in the catalogue/online...what fabric is used is important.

ETA: As has been said, consider the boys' department if your members are buying them on their own. I used to wear my brothers' old Oxfords and when they moved out of the boys' department I started buying them there for myself. So. Much. Cheaper.
