Looking to transfer to a southern school
 

As the title says, I'm thinking about transferring to a southern school and was wondering what everyone thinks is the best southern TKE chapter and why?

Don't know of any in Mississippi

We don't do chapter reputations, rankings or the like here. It's bad form.

Well, you get a subscription to The Teke, right? Have a flip through the issues and you can look at GPA, average chapter size, recruitment results, etc. That gives you at least a preliminary idea of how those chapters operate. If you need more information, you can me PM me. As my name suggests I'm familiar with southern chapters, but I won't bash or brag on chapters in public.

If you're already a TKE, you have access to the info already. You can go to your chapter resources and check where your chapters are located. You can also check GPAs, chapter sizes, etc. If you're not a TKE, you're being awfully presumptuous that you only want TKE or that they will automatically want to extend a bid to you.

What do you mean by best? What are you looking for in a chapter? You should also be transferring based on your major/program of interest, rather than if the school has a chapter of TKE. You can be very involved as an alumni.

I mean, would you skip over a fantastic school that has an excellent program for your major and instead go to Podunk College which has a crappier program just because Podunk College has a TKE chapter? I wouldn't.

I went to Conclave and there were quite a few chapters I don't think I'd have ever rushed if I went to their school. Chapters vary by school. You might not mesh with the guys at the school you transfer to. (There were also chapters at conclave that I would have probably wanted to join as well.)

...also cue the "Best Southern Chapter of TKE is still worse than the Worst Northern Chapter of XYZ" jokes, since I know they're inevitable.
