Australian Hello = GDAY SISTERS

I am in the processes of building Australia's first complete sorority and bringing the greek culture across the planet for us Aussies to enjoy.

Charity, Family through friendship and Community Spirit and Self Pride... What an awesome opportunity to spread this culture global.

So to all.. any words of wisdom from fellow chapter/ sorority creators are welcome and encouraged as it is always important to learn from others.

God bless from Down Under :)

I had an Australian roommate in college. She used to reject the idea that Australians would like sororities but then she would talk about the houses at her private secondary school, which were kind of like Hogwarts houses. She would tell me about their colors, activities, traditions, how your chances of getting in one might be increased if your mom or sister had been in that one. One day, she admitted that there were actually several similarities in Australian and American school life and that Australians might embrace Greek life!

I wonder if any of the NPC sororities be interested in expanding in Australia.

Our universities especially here in Sydney have so many different groups available to students and members of the public I am surprised no one has tried to set up before. As I am 26 and now graduated, I have the time and knowledge to build this up into a successful sorority. I am in development and research stage at the moment. so any one that has gone though this process I would love to hear from you PM anytime.

(MEVARA) Its funny you should mention NPC as I thought they might be interested but I think local may be the way to start, from there we can develop our own Nationals with our own rules and governing bodies.

As far as AGZG comment is concerned luckily, Australian Woman can have a laugh :)

there are some chapters of Beta Sigma Phi in Australia, and also some non-collegiate locals about, but there don't seem to be any on campus. Good luck!

I wonder if you'll run into any difficulty from the faculties about having a single sex club?
