Philosophy

Anyone ever had any baaaadddd experiences with a philosophy course?

I'm studying Conway, Spinoza, Malebranche, Berkeley, Hume, and Kant for a final exam tomorrow and my perceived head is killing me.

I had a Philosophy of Religion class that was held Mon-Thur and the instructor decided to start every class with a quiz on the days reading assignment. Apparently he was super concerned that people would come to his class without reading the material so he decided to weigh these quizs to be 60% of the final grade. It bothered me that we were getting tested on the material BEFORE we even discussed it in class. There were a few times that I was tempted to leave after taking the quiz but I never did.

Try four years of it in order to get the Licentiät. Then, you'll have bad experiences.

How did your exam go?

I took a few Philosophy classes, among those was Philosophy of Psychology. Very interesting class as most lectures included time for debate and discussion.

Ha oh I hope that never happens. Though Philosophy is my third major, it's my primary headache. I was taking this course for a major requirement.

The exam was awful, I got everyone all mixed up except Hume and Kant, and still missed a few easy questions on Hume i.e., explaining what his copy thesis was, because there at the end my mind was shot.

I think I may have done better in a class that allowed for that. I'm all about discussion but this was more like an overview of philosophers, not very interactive. What were the debates like?
