I gotta crow!
ITT we post awesome things which our chapters or groups have recently accomplished.
As president of Greater Katy Alumnae Panhellenic I set 3 main goals: - increase membership to 50 paid members. WE HAVE 67 - a few more are coming in! - increase number of scholarships and amount given - WE ARE AWARDING 4 SCHOLARSHIPS AND HAVE DOUBLED THE AMOUNT! - find representatives for Delta Zeta and Alpha Sigma Alpha - WE NOW HAVE THEM! So what makes you want to crow about your group? |
This past weekend, Sigma Chi initiated its 300,000 member! The new brother is from the chapter at the University of Virginia. He is a legacy, with his father and brother also being Sigs.

That's awesome - I especially like the fact he is a legacy!

All right, SWTXBelle, I just hate you because now that song is stuck in my head...

Tri Sigma has a program called Chapter Accreditation.
There are like 10 categories with standards that your chapter has to meet to become Accredited. If you're Accredited, that means your chapter is considered in good standing. For chapters that go above and beyond, they can be Accredited With Honors. One of the chapters I work with (as a regional volunteer) was Not Accredited for 2 years in a row. This year, they are Acredited with Honors. That makes me happy. I have to tell someone. |
That's wonderful, KSUViolet!

Okay, this isn't something that the chapter did, but I'm still super excited because my AMAZING linesister is featured in this month's issue of Black Enterprise magazine :D http://thedesignhall.com/

That's amazing! How did you raise the scholarship money?
