I have friends who work on those shows..........I don't watch them (never got into them) but the carnage.

Oh, Lord .... I haven't watched soap operas since junior high school, but this is the end of an era. I feel sad just because ... :(

First they saying Soapnet is going to be another Disney channel, now they canceling the staples of Daytime Television.

Man I'm gonna miss Erica Kane.

I have many fond memories of tuning in with my mom and sister. This is so sad. Now, if they touch GH, I am never watching ABC again.

I thought Erica Kane would die onscreen.

Darn! I guess we don't need fake soap operas thanks to the multitude of reality shows that provide "real" life drama (and at a cheaper costs). :sad:

My mom used to watch all three ABC soaps, then trickled off to GH only. I only watch GH, myself, but I'm really, really sad to see AMC and OLTL go.

As someone said on another forum, if GH survives past 2013 I'll be surprised. There's already rumors it goes in Sept. 2012.
