Hi all, I was just wondering if ANYONE has seen Kristen's Story, the national program by Alpha Chi Omega and Delta Delta Delta...We are bringing it onto our campus, but we're having trouble convincing people its a great story...if you have seen it can you tell me what you thought of it, and maybe how your school was able to attract students and faculty to attend the event??? Just looking for some help!! thanks alot! :D

The A&M chapters presented this program last year here. From what I'd heard it seemed to have gone over very well. Our campus is very vocal about such topics as stopping domestic/relationship violence etc. They got a LOT of school newspaper/local TV coverage & it really helped to get the word out. I didn't get to go, but did look all of the info. on the program up on the web and found it very moving. Perhaps you could contact the A&M chapter & ask for more info? Best of luck to you. This is such an important program, I really hope your chapter does well.

Kristen's story was at Penn State this year, but it was on a Jewish holiday so a lot of people didn't go because of that. I heard it was good...not outstanding, but good.

It was presented here at FSU (of course) and was very well-received. This campus has a date-rape problem, according to the local rape crisis hotline people that I know, but it doesn't get much press because the young women don't want to press charges for fear of the social stigma, etc. that happens.

According to those I spoke to, the presentation at FSU didn't leave a dry eye in the house.

It was presented on my campus last semester, I think my campus's npc won it as a prize at WRGC or something, it was pretty good..moving, sad, but honest..i'd recommend going/brining it to your campus if you can..it is worthwhile

I saw it last year at MGCA. Totally worth it!

We had it on our campus last Wednesday. It was very good. There are various ways you could publicize it. I think that it was our FIPG event so we were al there. I know we put ads in the campus paper and chalked sidewalks and did diner announcements with the Tri-delts. Attendance was pretty good.

We had Kristen's Story here at Clemson this past March during Greek Week, and so each sorority got points for the number of sisters attending. Having Panhellenic sign-in sheets got a lot of girls to come, and fraternities encouraged their pledges to go as well. There wasn't a dry eye in the house by the end of the night, and we all received some pamphlets with information about local date rape helplines and shelters. Overall, it was very well received here!

I believe we are having it here sometime next semester. I don't know much about it, but I'm sure it will be a great program :)

Our AX's did Kristen's Story on our campus and it was a huge hit! I definitely suggest bringing it to your campus too!
