Rushing as a sophomore..... again
Hey guys, I rushed this semester and went through a few weeks of pledgeship, to just find out that the fraternity I pledged wasn't where I wanted to spend the next three years of college.
If I decide to rush again, what are my chances of getting a bid from a "top tier" fraternity assuming my grades are good? Do I have just as good a shot as a freshman? Thanks. |

No, seriously -- we don't know you or the members of the other fraternities. We have no idea. |
Well, you're going to be a sophomore, so consider that.
Assuming that you're not a troll, I'm surprised that you are still concerned about tiers even after a few weeks of pledgeship. Maybe you'll fit in, maybe you won't. Just as knight_shadow said, nobody here knows you and what the fraternities are like, and nobody at your new school knows you. Give it a shot and see how it turns out. |

Additionally, if you weren't given a bid by 'top tier' groups when you first rushed, what makes you think they'll consider you this time? Especially if the group you pledged was 'bottom tier.' |

I'm going to assume you go to Auburn (based on your username). For you to rush again, you're going to have to keep your options open. The 'top tier' (and probably some 'middle tier') groups will most likely not give you a bid either based on your class standing, the fact you pledged a group, the fact you ignored some of these group's calls, or all of the above. If you're determined to only join a 'top tier' group because that's where you want to be for the next three years, it's not going to happen (unless you have major connections). |
