Elizabeth Taylor dies at 79
|
:(:(:(

Terrible.
|
Just saw this today ... :( It was time for her to get some rest. She's suffered so much physically. Now, she can go be with Michael. RIP, Elizabeth.

:( National Velvet is one of my favorites.

R.I.P. :( 79 is so young.
When I wake up, the first thing that I tend to do is turn on the morning news. I was shocked and was not expecting to see that on the morning news. :( |

This has me completely bummed out. You don't have many people around today who are beautiful, awesome actresses, AND caring and giving besides. Old Hollywood is just about gone at this point. :( |
Of course, they talked about this on The View. Both Whoopi Goldberg and Barbara Walters was friends of Elizabeth Taylor.
They showed Walters' interviews from 1977 and 1987. In the 1977 interview, Taylor talked about being happy and not caring that she's gotten fat. That interview always rubbed me the wrong way and, of course, I saw the interview years later because it was done the year that I was born. Then The View talked about issues with Taylor's weight and overall healthy and how comedians (i.e. SNL) and others became very mean about it. |
:( RIP Elizabeth Taylor

Like Lena Horne, (swoon) who still had "major foiness" later in her life, although you felt lightweight squimish about it knowing she was older, LT aged nicely. |

Exactly what I thought. Quote:

She surely was a beautiful woman. It's hard to believe that she was younger than Shirley Temple.
I tried to post a picture, but it wouldn't paste. Try this: from Suddenly Last Summer ETA: Am I the only one who thought that Zsa Zsa would have gone first? |
I truly thought she'd somehow survive this time. So sad, but here's hoping she rests in the peace she deserves.
