It looks beautiful! More than twice the space!

Congratulations! Who previously owned the building? Is it close to your previous HQ and/or to the other Greek HQ there in Indy?

Per our Executive Director, a law firm previously occupied the building. This HQ is about 4 1/2 miles from Founders Road.

Congrats, that sounds like wonderful news for AGD! :-D

I drive past this building every day on my way to and from work. Very cool.

Maybe I'll snap pictures of it as soon as the letters are up. And the new building is probably 5-10 minutes away from the old HQ. Really just down 86th street and turn onto Meridian and you are there.

Meridian Street is a primary north-south street in the city and boasts some of the most impressive residential architecture in the United States, including the current Indiana Governor’s Mansion.

Cool...Stephanie can just run down for a lunch time meeting! ;)

Congratulations to AGD! It sounds like everyone is vacating the Founders Road area. TKE purchased a new headquarters and moved last spring, and we had been located right next to AGD, so it's interesting to hear that our old neighbors are also moving now.

From an email from our Executive Director:

Quote:

All of the common areas of the office have been packed and are ready to go on the first load to 8710 N. Meridian next Monday. We will send out a formal communication with the exact dates that the office will be closed but I would ask in advance for your patience as the next two weeks will be very hectic getting everything out of the old and into the new and settled. I anticipate that our response time will be slower than normal as we get closer and closer to next Thursday and Friday. However, we cannot wait to serve all of you from our new offices! ......

Today marks the last Friday that Alpha Gamma Delta has conducted business at 8701 Founders Road. To you and yours – have a very enjoyable weekend. I’ll be in touch next week – from the new building. :)

This is exciting and sad at the same time... I had to memorize that address many many years ago as a "pledge". I loved the time I spent there in the apartment. That said, it will be fun to see the new headquarters some day too.

I had the same thought. The times I've spent the weekend at IHQ I loved - played the tourist each time. I imagine working there the novelty is not as high, and the frustration with the building would have been tremendously high, so I'm very curious to see what has been done with the new building.

This will be the third IHQ address I will need to commit to memory. I go back to the 3444 Washington Blvd. days. :)

As I drove past your new headquarters this morning, I noticed that the new signage is up! It looked lovely!

DoctorD 08-31-2012 11:44 AM

I agree!

Oh I love the way they used the Armorial Bearings.
