Rushing as a sophomore at Texas Tech University

Hi, I'm currently a freshman at Texas Tech and I was curious as to how difficult it would be to rush in this coming fall as a sophomore.

From what I can tell, rush at Texas Tech is pretty competitive. I didn't not rush this past fall because I wasn't sure if I wanted to be in a sorority, so I participated in Spring rush. I only heard back from three sororities during Spring Rush, therefor I have decided to rush this coming fall so that I can have more options and the other girls can get to know me better.

I've read that you must have good grades as a sophomore as well as letters of rec. I plan in having a 3.something gpa at the end of this semester.

Any other tips would be highly appreciated! Thanks!

There are SEVERAL threads here about recruitment at Texas Tech and other (not pretty but extremely) competitive schools. Do a thorough search. Google works better as a search tool for this site than this site's search function.

I'm pretty sure TT has an upperclassman quota which is critical if you're going to have any chance. If you had 3 opportunities through informal, I hope you're not going to regret not having taken the chance you were given.
