finding an alumnae chapter
Hi ZTAs! I know we can find information about alumnae chapters on the ZTA website, but I thought it might be nice to have a thread on here for someone to connect with a "real person" if they're looking to get involved. :D
Mainly, I thought of posting here because I just became historian of my alumnae club. We're in a rural area, which is why we're still pretty small. But I created a Facebook page for us and already one person found us that way! So I thought, if a sister moved to a new area or something and was looking for a chapter, she could perhaps connect with one here. Just makes it a little more "real" than a link on a website. |
it is a great idea. can you explain it a little further?

Sure. Say Zoey Zeta moves to central PA, and she'd like to connect with new people. She decides a good way to do so would be to join an alumnae chapter. There may be contact info on the ZTA website, but it doesn't say much about how active a chapter is, or how much ground it covers.
Zoey comes to Greekchat and says, "Hi, I just moved to central PA... any other sisters around?" Crissy Crown says, "Hi Zoey! I'm a member of the West Branch Alumnae Club! We have this event coming up, you should come on out." Can you do all this by emailing the contact person on the website? Sure, but I think this would make it a bit more personal, you know? |
