Watermelon Bust
 

Hey Guys,

We just re-founded here at Drexel last year, and are interested in doing a small scale version of the Watermelon Bust. Spring term here has Greek Week and Relay for Life as more major events. As a result, a one day incarnation of the Bust would probably be ideal. I was wondering if any of you have any ideas with what worked at your chapters that would could implement here?

Your brothers down interstate 95 are also doing the same thing (smaller 1 day bust)

The LXA chapter at my school does a 1 day bust, and it is so much fun! They start at around 11 and have lunch offered, for a price of course! Then they do all of the events, tug of war, greased watermelon toss, skiing, pageant, and then it ends with the awards at around 4.

Hey BemoreLXA, which chapter would that be? UMBC? UDel? Sorry--I'm not really from the area originally. I know I-70 and I-270 out my way :D.

UMBC. and no problem man, we're kinda in the dark for this event too. We know what to do and we have our vision of the event but we haven't figured out the specifics with the actual Watermelons yet haha

I wanted to do the same thing.

We have an All-Greek event each year called April Reign up here at Baldwin-Wallace.

I would LOVE to get some info on a Watermelon Bust so we can restart it right!
