3 Pins on eBay....
I was surprised to see 3 ASA pins currently on eBay...
Edited because we don't want to drive the price up and also, because chapter names are attached to two of these. Some schools are still holding recruitment and this isn't the greatest PR. No harm, no foul. :) ASALove, don't forget to introduce yourself in the Sound Off Thread in this forum. :) |
Crashing, but in general most forums prefer that you don't post live auctions. It draws attention to the listings, which potentially raises the demand & price. Although none of us like to see our pins sold in auctions like this, there is very little most of us can do about it from a legal standpoint unless the original member has filed a police report. We've had much spirited discussion on it over in the Badge Trends thread, if you care to scroll through page after page of gorgeous badge photos.

We have a few members who I'm sure are on it.
I remember bidding against one of them on a pin from my own chapter and I had to go HIGH to get it from her. I also managed to find the owner of the pin, who was in her late 80s. :) |
I saw in the DZ forum that their headquarters pays $50 for each returned pin.... does anyone know if our headquarters offers anything like that?

Your best bet is to email HQ directly and ask. Like AF said, there are some sisters who routinely bid on pins - I know one of them personally, and to be blunt, she's got enough dough that she's going to give the pins back to HQ for free. Any money they did give her, she'd most likely return to the Foundation.
