Cool new nail polish
http://www.polishgalore.com/2011/01/...k-shatter.html
OPI's "Black Shatter" - the person who writes this blog posted a demonstration of how it works. Not sure if I'd use it enough to justify paying OPI prices, but it's neat. |
I remember my friend had some of this stuff a few years back (sorry, not trying to rain on your parade!!:o)
It was a little different though--I think the product was called "Crackle", and it wasn't OPI brand. I do agree, it does look cool! |
It's so hard to get though! A couple of friends and I have been trying and can't get it anywhere.
|
This type of thing has been around for a long time. I remember being less than impressed when I tried it, but then again it wasn't OPI.
And Alumiyum, I saw this at Ulta last weekend (if you have one of those). |
If you've got a Trade Secret around, they had a ton of the stuff when I was in there the other day. Personally, the whole shatter thing is just not my style. I love nail polish, but I don't like my nails to have a lot of texture like that. Same reason I don't wear glitter polish.
|
Cover Girl used to have a version of that type of polish, as well. I think it looks really cute, but I could not pull it off.
|
Yeah Ulta is where my friends have checked...they told me they were out and asked the clerk who said they only put out 8 bottles at a time. Booooooo.
|
I haven't been able to find it ANYWHERE. I've gone to a bunch of places here in NYC, which usually sell all of the new OPIs...they don't have it. Completely cleaned out. I'm going to ask my niece if she can get it for me in Florida.
|
Is there any retailer that sells it online?

I wanna try the shatter polish too! I also want to try Sally Hansen salon effects nail stickers. Has anyone heard of those? I want them so bad

And I have the Salon Effects on now...houndstooth. I HIGHLY recommend them. They were super easy to put on. The strips were far bigger than all of my nails because I have such small hands so I was worried at first but then found it was extremely easy to get the excess off. I put one layer of top coat on them (which you don't have to do, but I did it just in case) and have had them on for a few days and don't have one single chip. I freaking love these things! |

Let us know how long it takes before they chip. I was looking at those too, but the price kind of put me off.
