Recommend something to watch

many of us are using streaming services now such as Fancast, Netflix and Hulu. Some of us also use our on demand options with cable.

They are great ways to get caught up not only with new shows but other shows we may not have thought about watching and even really old shows that we miss.

If you run across something that's worth recommending, drop it here.

TV Shows, Movies documentaries...etc

Even that guilty pleasure that you didn't go see in the theater!

Next time you can't find something to watch, maybe you can find a suggestion here.

If it's on the 'net, please leave links.

Let me start with this one:

A rare straight to home movie starring Sam Jackson

The Universe, seasons one and two.

I started watching Castle online -- it's similar to Bones IMO, and I enjoy it.

I also found Archer and Bob's Burgers online, which were pretty funny.

I'll probably post some more in here as I remember the names.

Castle is better than Bones! And not just because i want to have Nathan Fillion's babies.

Not unless I have them first. ;) :D

Community. I watched most of season one on my snow day, and it was great.

Word. I'm trying to get my mom into it, but the first episodes are slower and I'm having to convince her to keep with the DVDs. It's so awesome now it's hard to remember that it took a little bit to find its groove.

My list of awesomely hilarious shows:
Greek, Parks and Recreation, The Office, Modern Family, Outsourced
And lately I've gotten into documentaries because I've watched all the offerings Netflix has on the above shows:
-8: The Mormon Proposition
-Maxed Out
-Union: The Business Behind Getting High
-Lord, Save us From Your Followers...which I just watched and freaking love. It's great for just about anyone with any opinion at all on Christianity in the US. I come from a religious family, am completely ambivalent myself either way, and have a rabidly atheist sibling. I think we could all get something out of this one if we were to all watch it.

Archer is hilarious. A sick mind came up with that show!

Historical: The Tudors
SciFi: Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe, Firefly, V, The Event
Guilty Pleasures: Pretty Little Liars, Greek, America's Next Top Model, Say Yes to the Dress, House Hunters, Property Virgins, Hell's Kitchen, What Not to Wear

Another show that isn't out yet but that I REALLY want to see is "A Game of Thrones" on HBO. It's based on one of my all-time favorite fantasy series by George R.R. Martin, "A Song of Ice and Fire." Normally I'm skeptical of film adaptations of books, but I'm excited for this one because Martin is heavily involved in production. I digress.

^^^^ I CANNOT WAIT FOR A GAME OF THRONES. IT MAKES ME WRITE IN ALL CAPS I AM SO EXCITED.
