BROTHΣRHOOD

Has anybody seen the trailer for this movie? As best I can tell, it came out for competitions, will have a limited release in the next month or so and then will go to DVD.

It just gives me a bad, bad feeling.

I never like movies made about greek life. To often it is made by people who aren't greek and gives a terrible portayal of us. However, in movies about presidents and senators and other historical figures they seldom mention that they were greek.

This movie make me nervouse too.

What the shit is this shit? Do they know it spells BROTHSRHOOD?

Read it out loud:
BRO THS Ruh HOOOOOOD.

Probably (1) because contrary to urban legend, most presidents weren't Greek and (2) because it's pretty much irrelevant to a movie about them as president (or senator or whoever).

Had to use the sigma, didn't they?

knight_shadow 01-27-2011 04:49 PM

Jesus Christ. A robbery as part of ritual?

This is going to be chock full of shit.

Yet they found a way to mention it in W. :(

Because it was relevant to the story. "W" wasn't just about Bush as president -- Bush's experiences as a college student (particularly involving alcohol) was integral to the plot.

If the premise weren't so stupid...

The entire idea of having to rob a convenience store as part of pledgeship kills it for me.

Psh, when did positive portrayals of Greek Life ever make money?

I am not disagreeing with you. All I am saying is that movies don't usually portray greek life in a positive way.

Yeah, well what would be entertaining about that? :o

Now I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight because I'll be busy trying to think of a movie that does portray Greek life positively.
