people saying DG love and mine.
So i love signing notes to sisters DG love and mine. But I've noticed sisters signing things to people who aren't sisters with that phrase. what are your thoughts on that?

We always say tau love and mine, but only to sisters.

I'm an AOII and we sign things alpha love & mine, but only to other AOII's. Honestly, it'd be weird to say alpha love & mine to anyone who wasn't my sister...

Same here...the whole point of that kind of phrase is saying, in effect, "I love you because we are sisters, but also because I just plain like you for you." :) Using it to non-sisters is kind of like if you had kids and signed letters to your friends "Love, Mom."

Our signoff "LiCO" or "loyally in Chi Omega" (some also use it as "love in Chi Omega") is used exclusively for sisters, as it pretty clearly denotes membership in the fraternity.
With something like DG love and mine, I guess I could see using it if you were signing a DG-related note where you wanted to convey the chapter's appreciation for something or someone? Like a Thank You note for someone who helped out the chapter? I don't know, even that seems like a stretch! |
i always just use it with sisters, thats why i thought it was so strange to see it on a note to someone who wasn't a sister.

Why wouldn't you just use LITB or ITB?
