Halle Berry to play the Queen of Soul?
 

Aretha Franklin recently said that she would want Halle Berry to protray in a movie. I do not think that would work at all. I believe Jennifer Hudson would do her justice. Fantasia sounds like Aretha, but Jennifer is the better actress for this role.

I wanted to put "old" body type, but although she's skinnier, she still is fuller than Halle is. Aretha in her early days wasn't huge.

I love Aretha, but I really believe that, sometimes, these artists are delusional about who they think would portray them in a movie. It's like when Little Richard wanted Prince to play his role. He could've certainly done it, but still ... we just KNOW better. :rolleyes:
