Crazy Fundraisers
I'm looking for some strange fundraisers that can raise some money. Not really selling anything or doing anything (like washing cars and shit) but just stuff that can generate some money
For example, a few years ago our chapter had a fundraiser where a brother dressed up in a monkey suit and you got to beat him with a paddle for a dollar. They raised over 700 dollars in 5 hours!! Pretty cool eh? Other ideas? |
How is that not hazing??

This is obviously a troll. Don't encourage it.

I don't think this guy is legit. This is the same person who tried to FB friend the person that accidentally shot the Chi Omega in Florida.

Here's me sounding like an old lady, but an alternative would be using this opportunity to use your burgeoning professional skills to come up with a product, service or event, develop a marketing campaign, a budget and a schedule and see this project through from idea to completion. It turns out there are actual life skills to be gained from fraternity membership.
Or you can humiliate your members for cash. |
I am legit. I'm sorry if I have a morbid curiosity about one of my brothers.
As for the hazing issue, its not hazing because its voluntary. If we did the fundraiser, I would be the one in the monkey suit. In 3 weeks we're having a charity event involving trampolines called a "bounce-a-thon". One of the brothers has a trampoline so we set that up in front of the student union and people can pay 1 buck to bounce on the trampoline for a couple of minutes or they can just donate. We'll be doing it for 24 hours and proceeds go to the North American Food Drive. Thats a pretty simple, cheap, activity for charity. I'm looking for other simple, cheap, activities to raise money for our chapter since we're low on funds at the current moment. |

I'm not sure about the paddling part, but I'd give you a dollar to take a baseball swing at it lol.
