Westboro Baptist scheduled to protest 9 year old's funeral

From Huffington Post:

Westboro Baptist Church, the Topeka
church known for its inflammatory
anti-gay protests, plans to picket the
funerals of the six people gunned
down in Arizona on Saturday.
In a flier posted on its web site, the
controversial church writes, "THANK
GOD FOR THE SHOOTER -- 6 DEAD!"

They are scheduled to picket at all 6 funerals, including the one for the 9 year old girl. What a disgrace.

I think the media needs to start ignoring WBC. I guarantee they'd stop if people stopped giving them the time of day.

The church spokesperson said they won't come "in exchange for air time with a Phoenix radio station" and something else.

Who cares? Put them on "ignore".

ETA: ps they give Baptists a bad name. That's my opinion.

Arizona also just passed (last night? Heard it on the radio this morning) an emergency resolution to ban protests at funerals because they were planing on protesting these.

Gotta ask, because I don't understand: What exactly are they protesting in all of this? Or is this just Rebel Without a Cause, RAtM nonsense?
