ideas for activities during i-week?

I am from a local sorority ansd we are currently working on revamping things for next semester. I am looking for some fun activities to take place during i-week that are safe, haze free, and will promote sisterhood. Any ideas?

You could take your main color and have a "color day" where the new bigs and littles dress up in the color and have a little competition between them?

haha no! Like which big/little pair looks cutest in the sorority colors. Which costumes are most creative, which pairs match the most, etc. It'll be cute

That's stupid.

How does that reinforce sorority values?

I think the activity can fit that criteria

Also, if the colors have a specific meaning or purpose the new members can be educated on the meaning?

"Which pair of girls is the cutest" means that there will be a group or groups who are not the cutest. That's very divisive, especially with young women.

And the meaning of colours may be ritual (which they would learn at their initiation).

BemoreLXA 01-11-2011 02:30 PM

Look, I'm not in this sorority so I do not know. I'm just thinking of fun activities and maybe it won't be divisive for these girls? We're not in their group so we don't know

Have a night where bigs present littles with a meaningful gift (my chapter does flowers), or write letters to each other, something like that.
