Angie Stone

I just bought the new Angie Stone CD. It is so tight. Especially the track Brotha, I'm pissed, and Soul Insurance. What do you think?

On my list...

I haven't had the oppurtunity to pick that up yet but I'm looking foward to it. I really liked her first album.

Angie Stone will definitely be part of my heavy rotation. I love Brotha and the Brotha Remix with Eve and Alicia Keys as well as The Ingredients Of Love with Musiq. Do your thing Ms. Angie!

I recently saw Angie as the opening act at Maxwell's concert. Angie really did her thing.

Do not hesitate about Ms. Angie Stone. I dig her style and her soul. Brotha is right in the money.

Angie's new CD is off da hook (are people still saying this phrase). Anyway, I enjoy Soul Insurance, Brotha, Pissed Off, 20 dollars, and This time of the month. Those are my favorites, but the whole CD is good. I would recommand it to anyone who is in the mood to listen, enjoy, and appreciate her work.

I have been bumping the Angie Stone CD for a minute though. I must that overall it is a GREAT CD. :) Sadly, I do not even listen to the song brotha. The song got SOOO MUCH play that I am sick of it. I like fourth track on the album. (I cannot remember what it is though. I also like the track which was put down over the O'Jays' BackStabber music.)

I must say that it is good to hear some positive things about us coming from a sista. I'm kind of tired of hearing negative things about us (as I am about hearing the trash about women). What I am waiting for is a brotha to put together a song about our sisters. Is there an album currently out by someone that does this? (Being in the middle of nowwhere, I don't get to hear any of "our" music on the radio.)

I also like Faiths CD. I dig most of the tracks for beats. I like a few of them for the beats and the words though.

Is there anyone else who has heard Faith's CD?

I just got the CD this weekend, and it's wonderful. My FAVORITE song is MORE THAN A WOMAN. I listen to that over and over. I also like SNOWFLAKES, WISH I DIDN'T MISS YOU, MAKEINGS OF YOU and 20 DOLLARS. Again, it's a great CD.

CrimsonTide4 12-06-2001 10:52 PM

THIS CD is IT for 2001

I love the heck out of this CD. I really do. Not since Jill Scott has a CD been so ON POINT!!

I love THE WHOLE CD but my faves besides BROTHA is SOUL INSURANCE, MAD ISSUES, IF IT WASN'T, THE MAKINGS OF YOU, $20, MORE THAN A WOMAN, TIME OF THE MONTH, HEAT, BOTTLES and CANS. I listen to it so much that I have to put it on shuffle just to have a "surprise".

This CD is just AAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL of that.
