What does COB stand for?

I know this is a silly question but what does COB stand for? I've tried to look on here and couldnt find anything. Also, when do schools generally spring rush? Just as a general time frame, I looked on my prospective schools GL websites and it said check back at a later date.

Continuous Open Bidding. It is a form of informal recruitment. Your best bet is to call the Greek Life office once the spring semester starts. COB will vary greatly from school to school (and even from year to year). At mine there was no set time period and no coordination between sororities, and who and when varied from year to year. That is the case at many other schools.

Ditto on checking back with the school. Spring rush does not coincide with spring the season. :)
