My Poor Car!
This weekend my Mazda Miata convertible was broken into! Someone cut through the roof (cuz it's a ragtop) and then unlocked the door. They stole just the faceplate off my stereo.. so now unless I can buy just a faceplate I think I may have to buy a whole new stereo. (If anyone knows where I can buy a JVC faceplate let me know please :o) One of the other things they stole was my Spark Plugs out of my engine too.
People make me sooo mad!!! Geez. Just thought I'd share my sad story as a reminder to all of you to be extra careful with your cars. There are way to many mean people out there! |
Punks
Thats pretty much a bunch of crap right there. Sounds like it was someone that knew you. No real person that would be looking to gain something by breaking in your car would just take a stereo faceplate and the spark plugs. Althought the car only has 4 plugs, its still a pretty good job gettin em out in those little engine compartments. Definantly someone that knew you or had it in for you.

geesh that sucks. Sorry to hear that happened to you. Some people are just plain ole jerks ya know,(although we try to think the best of everyone ) I do agree with kabillymac on this one, it does sound like they might know you or your car, ya know what I am saying. I hope you'll be able to replace the faceplate, you might want to try contacting the company that your stero is produced from maybe they can tell you whether or not you can get a new faceplate without buying the whole stereo again.
Good Luck DGPhoney~ |
That is soooooo not fun! I had my car broken into my junior year of college and when the little vandals realized they couldn't hot wire it, they hollowed out the ignition with a screwdriver and cut every wire they could. The BIGGEST pain in the neck was that my insurance deductible was $500 and although the car was undrivable for 2 weeks, the total damage was only $450, so I had to pay all of that out of pocket! It was the WORST. I totally feel for you

My car was stolen last night. And I live off campus. :( It was stolen at my work's parking structure. What I want to know is where the hell was the security?

To add to the ishtty car mishaps,
My tire "popped" on the freeway around 1 this morning. I called Roadside Assistance and the stupid lady couldn't even spell what I was telling her. She told me that ETA for assistance was 30 minutes. So I told her to screw that..and I called my friend Lil, who ended up bringing 3 of her friends with her. There we were, 3 cars in the emergency lane of the freeway, and these guys had to change my tire because I don't know how to change one! I had 20-30 or so straw hats in my trunk from Recruitment, so I ended up giving them one each as a sign of appreciation. We were loitering on the freeway for about 20 minutes and cars are driving by...people are giving us stares...it's a surprise none of us got arrested. I have a feeling someone did something to my tire. I took a good look at it this morning and that isht doesn't look like it was an accident. The same thing happened to me two years ago only then I had two blown tires instead of one. |
Work place security
Law enforcement agency parking lots aren't always the safest either..cars broken into and/or stolen, people mugged, film not in camera, etc. Unfortunately, jerks are everywhere.
I was listening on the radio the other day when this guy called in (not sure what city, it is a syndicated show). Someone had stolen stuff from his house. Judge told the guy that he could "afford to lose things"..Too many people want the easiest way to get what THEY want, regardless if someone worked hard legally to buy it. |
Well just be thankful you guys have cars. I have no car and attend a university in the middle of no where with no conveniences on campus. I do all of my shopping via internet.
