Hey guys im a newly appointed officer (High Iota) and need some help

I am a newly appointed officer for the position of high iota (the risk management position) and am wondering if there is any tips anyone can give me for the position because the last officer did not instruct me on much of anything for the position and i really want to do an awesome job. any advice would be great. thanks

tip: don't watch the videos. they're boring, and the ELCs want to see more interactive forms of education, like bringing in a cop to give a speech or something. also, do fire drils. it'll help bring the insurance costs down. i was high iota for this past year, btw.

i was told the social chairs had to fill out the event planning forms, not the iota, and that we just basically make sure they fill it out, and if the party is such that it requires the EPF to be submitted to nationals, then we'd do so.

oh, and you have to make a risk management assessment thing once a semester. they're pretty easy to do, just list what you've done, and what you want to do in the future, etc. and yeah, sober bro is a major thing. that was basically my whole report during meeting.

cool. glad to see another from a smaller school here. it seems everyone else is from huge universities. i'm from Pi-Gamma, Kent State. our greek community sucks, but we still throw some great parties :D

ya, he was cool. and, yeah, that happened last year before i went through. they even had an article about it in the campus newspaper. he graduated either this past spring or last fall. can't remember. cool guy, too.
