NYE plans
 

If anyone is from or knows anything about the Chicago nightlife scene where are some good places to go for new years? I'm from Texas and have been to Chicago many many times Im just not extremely familiar with the nightlife scene. Thanks! :)


And, what are all of your plans for the new year?

It's all about Navy Pier, or so I'm told. I'll be in Chicago for NYE, but my plans are "a surprise".

Navy Pier is a big one since B96 (or KissFM) sponsors it. A lot of the hotels and bars downtown have NYE packages as well. Increasingly, a lot of the bars in Lincoln Park and Wrigleyville do the packages.

It depends on what type of environment you want for NYE. Navy Pier is the best-known, but bars and clubs downtown (River North/West Loop/Clark & Divison) also have pretty impressive NYE nights as well.

There are always great bars in some of the more "popular" neighborhoods (Lincoln Park, Wrigleyville, Lakeview, Bucktown, Logan Square) that have great specials and/or packages available for NYE.

This year, we'll be spending it in our apartment.

Ive been to the bars in Lincoln Park, Bucktown etc. Maybe we will check out the Navy Pier.

If you want to do Navy Pier I'd suggest getting tickets yesterday.

I bought them right after I read, responded, and told my boyfriend thats where we are spending the night at :)
