University of Pittsburgh
Hi. I don't know if your sorority is open to expansion, but if so, consider the University of Pittsburgh. I am not at all involved in engineering, but I teach writing at Pitt. I speak with students often and in depth. Again and again, I've heard that Pitt engineering provides a difficult atmosphere for female students. It sounds like these women could use the professional and social support that your organization provides. Something to think about...

Hi, Louisa May!
I am currently volunteering on our International Expansion Committee. I will pass along the information! Thanks! |
I know a few girls there who would love a chapter! :)

Pardon my crash, but isn't there already an engineering sorority at Pitt? Or was one of a few years ago? There was definitely one when I was an undergrad (98-02) because there were discussions about them joining panhel and participating in rush (never happened)

Oh...I had no idea. I'll mention it when I speak with my female engineering students.

Question for AOEforme:
Ohio State University has both the Lambda chapter of A.O.E. and the Beta Chapter of Phi Rho. How did this happen? I mean how did our international decide to go ahead and colonize when there was another national engineering sorority there? I'm also curious as to how they interact.... |
I'm PM-ing you :)

Would you mind sending it to me, too? I am interested.
