Your Favorite Theta Phi Memories!
Hi Ladies!
I noticed our forum hasn't had any posts in over a month now, so I was hoping to give it a little kick start by posing this question for discussion: What are your top three favorite memories as a sister of Theta Phi Alpha? :) I will start things off: 1. Getting my bid--YAY! :D (But more importantly, knowing beforehand that Theta Phi was where my home was meant to be!) 2. The Pledge Sister Classes where we had so much fun that we all (the Pledge Sister Educator included) laughed so much it hurt. :D 3. Meeting new sisters whom I found out I had SO much in common with right away. :D 4. The Big-Little Retreat we had before initiation where we really gelled as a sisterhood. :D Okay, so I couldn't list just three--what are yours? :) YITBOS |
I was sure I replied to this a while ago but apparently I didn’t…
Hmm.. Top 3 ΘΦΑ memories…. 1) My Bid Day… I was soo nervous! We waited and waited in line and it was finally my turn to get my bid so I went into the Greek Office, opened my bid, saw “Theta Phi Alpha invites…..”, closed the envelope and cried. The Director of Greek Affairs asked “good or bad?” My response: a thumbs up and more tears hahaha 2) Meeting Mari Ann Callais at MGCA in 2008. She did a few presentations through the conference and every time she spoke it made me so proud to be a Theta Phi. She’s an incredible woman. 3) Big- Little Reveal when I got my first little. After not speaking all week, we show up in matching outfits. 100% unplanned. It was pretty awesome. It was one of those “we just fit together” moments.:D |
This is such a difficult question because it's so hard to pick just three! But I would have to say...
1 - Bid Day. I couldn't sleep the night before because I was so nervous and I called my dad in tears at 3:30 in the morning. He talked to me until 7 am and suggested I might want to hit the shower before bids came out at 8 am. 2 - My Initiation Day! (I don't think any explanation is necessary here!) 3 - Convention - any and all! I love spending the time with my sisters, catching up with old friends and making new ones! |
1) Intiation. I could not have loved a moment more then that, it was just so perfect and I had been nervous, but I knew that it was all going to be worth it.
3) Big Sister Ceremony. My big was someone that I was close to before I pledged, because she was close to a girl who lived in my hall that was pledging at the time. She is just like me and my best friend and now I live with her and we're just so perfect together. 2) Getting my bid card. We didn't have an official bid day, but when I got that card, I was so excited that they had extended me a bid and liked me that much to want me to be their sister! |
- Initiation. Seeing it from both sides.
- Meeting several officers back in October 2010. - Founder's Day Banquet. |
