HJ Greek crest ring question
 

I've been thinking of buying a new sorority ring.

I like the Delta Zeta crest ring from Herff Jones Greek, but their picture is at an awkward angle. As mentioned in the Badge Trends thread, Herff Jones' pictures do not usually do their items justice.

They offer similar rings for many sororities, has anyone on GC bought one?

I actually have that ring! It's cute, but a little bigger than it looks in the photo. I actually just got out my trusty tape measure to get an exact measurement (I'm geeky that way).

Ok, it is 6/10th of an inch wide and 1/2 an inch from top to bottom. I have small hands, so it is practically up to my knuckle.

Herff Jones (last time I checked) makes another pretty crest ring that is smaller. It is an oval shaped signet with the crest engraved on it. It's more understated and I sometimes wear it as a pinky ring.

Your second ring sounds really cute! They don't seem to offer it anymore. I'll see if I can find a similar one at a different store.

On the pink ring, how clear is the crest? I have a cheaper ring I bought in school and the crest looks really "stuck-on" and isn't really defined.

There is actually a pretty good amount of detail in the crest, but you can't make out the motto. The crest looks good; not like it was stuck on at the last minute.

^What she said! I can't believe you have the same siggie (much as I love it!).

I bought the ZTA ring and it is bigger than the picture makes it appear. My only issue with the ring was that the crest seemed to be chopped off on the right side. But overall, it's a beautiful ring! The running joke in my alumnae chapter is that it's our "faux-nor ring" as in faux honor ring until we get the real thing ;)
