First glance appearance/personality traits, and you're hooked, so far
 

I know y'all are tired of my threads like this, Lol but my threads haven't been all that good. The last one received the most responses, so I thought one more like it but, just the opposite would be entertaining to read. Senusret I started a thread similar to this one, but the difference here is, you can only choose ONE physical trait and one personality trait..voice, smile, etc.. that strikes you about a person when you meet them. Of course we're all going to say how fine he/she is, so other than that person's face, what is it about that person's physical appearance that gets your attention. Grabs your attention as in "I would really like to see what this person is about." It can only be ONE thing, and one thing only for the physical part just like the last thread, and ONE thing and one thing only about that person's personality when you first meet them...assuming that you are already physically attracted to that person's face.

I'm stuck between the way a man walks, and how he dresses. I'm going to have to go with how he dresses.

As part of his personality, it's all in his voice. If he has a deep sexy voice, I'm hooked.

PS You're a pretty, a sweet, a smart lady. Once you stop "looking", he'll find you. I can almost promise..

Hmmmm ... the face. It's always the face that does it for me. He can be skinny, chubby, vanilla skin, chocolate skin, athletic build, lanky build, whatever. But if he has a nice face ... i.e., dimples, pretty teeth, beautiful eyes, glowing skin, ... he will usually grab my attention (even if he has dred locks ... :D LMAO!).

Yeah, once you eliminated the face as an option, I have nothing. It's all about eyes (need to be laughing eyes, sparkly) and smile (easy, full face). It doesn't matter what color the eyes are, or the shape, it's that the windows are the eyes to the soul and a man who can express himself with only his eyes will catch my attention every time.

Height.
Ride-or-die-ness.

Meaning, I would really appreciate a dude who was laid back enough to basically be down for whatever (let me be the boss, so to speak) and be fine enjoying the things I do.

It sounds like I want somebody to rule over. To that, I say "So?" lol

Ugh lost my post:

Physical: stocky (like they are involved with manual labor or physical movement: ex-football players, track runners, UPS employees...great, I just described the last 2 men I was involved with)
Personality: thoughtfulness. Remembering dates and details. Being able to think on the fly, especially when it comes to humor. Being able to express an opinion.

Hands and forearms. Musicians especially have these amazing muscular forearms from constantly practicing and/or lugging all their gear around.

As far as personality, that's really another case of what works like gangbusters for one person might be epic fail for another.

Physical: nice face... he's gotta be handsome :)
Personality: good conversationalist, someone who can make me laugh

Physical: Tall - all the guys out here are my height or shorter! When did this happen and why!?

Personality: Willing to put up with my quirks. I guess they aren't bad seeing as how I do have close friends and all, but you gotta be willing to roll with allathis!

Physical -Sorry, but I'm going to have to break the rules, here. She has to have a pretty face. I have to be physically attracted to her face to even look in her direction.

Personality -Silly. I love to laugh, because laughter is healthy, so I'm generally going to look for her to be silly, and funny. She makes me laugh.

Is it weird that I can't quite name what it is for me? I've been attracted to very different types/appearances over the years, but I still can't really put a finger on one specific trait or characteristic that made me take a second look. I know it is a bit of a cop-out to say it is the whole package, but it is the whole package. I also very much feel like "vibes" or "chemistry" or whatever else you want to call it play a huge role...I've met a lot of men who are objectively "attractive" (good looking), but I wouldn't give them the time of day for some reason.

I'm exactly the same. The guys I've dated are all over the place physically, have had different interests, and have been different ages. They've all been very different personality wise. They've also (not all, but many) have been guys that aren't traditionally attractive, and many guys that I know are attractive, technically, just don't do it for me. It must be a "vibes" thing.

^It's the phermones. I really believe in them. I've dated two men who looked so alike that people confused their pictures, and other than that, I've been all over the map. There are two things I don't care for, though: too much hair (*shudder*) or over 6'3". If said guy looks like he's wearing a sweater at the beach, I am completely sickened. And guys who are too tall, well, other than being fair and leaving them to the truly tall women, I just get a crick in my neck!
