help
it is 1 a.m. here - I have a journalism hist test tom at 10 a.m. I have been out at the bar - drank three cokes ... just plain cokes, but have a good caffine buzz - do I cram now or go to sleep and wake up at 7 a.m. and cram then. or do i prorastinate, read email, visit gc some more and say the hell with it?
any advice? |
As a professional procrastinator I would suggest craming now. I've tried the morning thing and it just doesn't cut it. I found, for myself, that studying in the morning made me even more anxious about the test and making sure that I was absorbing what I was studying. I say start studying now, girl!!! Shut the computer off and hit those books. Leave yourself at least four hours to sleep. Study tonight, get some sleep, then get up and ace that test!!!
Good Luck!!!:D |
the morning thing works well. If you are a procrastinator, the work under pressure will force you to study while doing it the night before still allows for slack time.

How did it work out? Good heavens, I was the queen of all nighters. Many, many hours were spent in the laundry room sipping Coke and taking No-Doze. I STILL have a nightmare that I over sleep...RUN to my Philosophy test...the room is EMPTY-they changed the location! I run all over campus trying to find it!

I think cramming in the morning is best because its closer to the test and you will remember more because it is closer.

It's tough to wake up normally- let alone a from a night of late night studying. I'd say study as much as you can, then get up for your test. I'd review a little as a refresher.

Personally, I find that all-nighters do much more harm than good.
Studying before sleep gives your body some time to refresh itself and "set" what you've learned in long term memory. Even though its too late, because its morning, I'd suggest study then sleep some then review before the test |
