Hi Everyone -- I just came across this site recently and am really impressed with what I have found. There is a wealth of information. Boy, Rush (which I now see is known as Recruitment!) has changed some since my day. My oldest child is a high school senior, with plans to attend college and participate in recruitment in Fall 2011.

I am sure you will find more information than you can possibly imagine.

There are some excellent threads about and for mothers. Save yourself a lot of heartache and abuse and read those before asking questions. Also, remember that it is in your daughter's best interest to keep her anonymous. You can say a region, a state, a conference, etc., but particularly if it's a small Greek system, you don't want something you say to interfere with your daughter's success. On the other hand, you can help her a lot by understanding the process and giving her the right kind of encouragement!

I'm not a mother, but I'm certain from following recruitment here on GC that it's harder on the mothers who can't do anything to help than it is on the daughters living it. I believe the common suggestions are rest and vodka.
