Hello

Hi I am fresh out of highsschool and will be starting college next year with a few buddies we have recently discovered that our school has no Greek system what so ever so we can only assume it will be a shitty 4yrs unless we do something about..that's when the idea of renting out a house preferably 5bdr 3bath and using It as a party house with about 5-10 members

Now I know this wouldn't really be considered a fraternity because it's so small but I'm still posting here to ask for your help and input because afterall it is still about partying, brotherhood, and pickin up cuties.any input would be appreciated thanks in advance.

This is a serious question:

How does one NOT know that a school they're planning to attend does not have Greek Life?

chump 10-15-2010 11:57 PM

And here I am sitting in my room with a big ass smile thinking I came up with something brilliant

Well it's not that we recently discovered there no Greek system it's that we are going to community college i was a little ashamed to share that with you guys the idea of a party house seems like a easy way to take over the campus

DubaiSis 10-16-2010 12:32 AM

Community college doesn't last 4 years.

victoriana 10-16-2010 12:40 AM

My lol quota for the night has officially been met. If you want to party in community college, good for you. But a better idea would be to spend a year in community college, get some classes done, keep your grades up, and then transfer to a university you want to go to that has Greek Life. Just my 2 cents.

IrishLake 10-16-2010 12:42 AM

^^^ Nowadays they do. I don't know of any around here that only offer 2 year degrees. They offer both.

Chump, (horrible choice of name, btw), just because there's no greek life doesn't mean your social life will suck. It will be what you and your friends make of it. If that means you want to have a party house, so be it. You really don't need any input or advice from us, because you aren't doing anything that's greek related.

knight_shadow 10-16-2010 12:42 AM

You can party at any time. That does not make you a fraternity.

ETA: IrishLake - the name is very fitting ;)

IrishLake 10-16-2010 12:45 AM

Dearest k_s, I know. Poor, poor kid. :D

Haha you guys are just chewin me up, yes cc is only two years but if there isn't much partying it will feel like 4

Although it's not A frat it has similar concepts I wanted advice on rent/maintaining peace at the house/things of that nature but I guess it was a shitty idea overall

kddani 10-16-2010 07:47 AM

Maybe partying is the reason OP is at a cc instead of a 4 year...

victoriana 10-16-2010 11:45 AM

Agree. Also, how does partying foster a sense of brotherhood? I just don't get it.

Don't poop in the sink.

That's pretty much all you need to know.

Just don't put Greek letters on it or you will look like even bigger of douchebags. Oh, and get ready for a lot of the people in your classes to be either twice your age or married and have NO interest in partying with your geeky selves.
