Any ideas for grade tracking?
 

Evening, sisters - I know I haven't been on here that frequently, but am looking for some advice/ideas.

We're trying to make sure that we're keeping track of women's grades throughout the semester, rather than just depending on end of term grades. Does anyone have ideas of how to get that information if the university is not using some type of online system for reporting grade progress?

I know when I was scholarship chair, for women who did not make grades for a previous semester they would have to provide midterm grades to me (either posted online from the class or on a sheet I provided signed by the prof). If they had not made grades for 2 semesters in a row they would have to use the sheet I provided and provide weekly or biweekly updates of their grades signed by their profs. So it became the responsibility of the sisters to bring me that info.

The problem we're running into is a school policy that professors can't "release grades" to others (even if the woman herself were to email the professor - some of them have said they have to come into the teacher's office, sit down with the gradebook and calculate it themselves, based on what my scholarship chair reported to me).

What we've expressed to the women right now is that we're taking them on an "honor system" if their grades aren't posted to the online grade system the university uses - it's just hard, especially for those women who're on an individual scholarship plan and we're tracking their progress more than just midterms and end of term grades.
