Alpha Beta House
Congratulations to the ladies of Alpha Beta at Kent State on your new house!! I think I could feel the excitement all the way from Ohio yesterday!
Cannot wait to see pictures and of course hear all the wonderful stories as the chapter makes the house a home! :D |
I love that there's already a thread about this!
It was a fabulous day, attended by tons of alumnae, including past National Treasurer, Barbara Stoe Stone (who played a big part in helping the chapter achieve this goal during her time as Treasurer), Assistant Director of Chapter Services Aimee Jensen (who is an Alpha Beta) and Director of Chapter Services, Lorin Philips. For those of you who know the housing journey of Alpha Beta (with many many rentals and landlords and trying to find suitable property in a place where there isn't much to be found), you know it was a great day for us. Alpha Beta is finally home. Pictures are coming when I stop being a lazy bum and finish this proejct I'm working on. lol. |

^^^I squealed when I saw the purple door the other day.
The fireplace is probably my fave feature though! It has sidewalks and a parking lot now too. Exciting! |
The house itself is pretty much complete, but there are opportunities for sisters/other generous peeps to help furnish/decorate 1066 and make it a home!

Small house update: The Chapter President recently informed us that Alpha Beta has been gifted a grand piano (from a very generous alumna!) I seriously can't wait to see it.
