just completed our first philanthropic event!

Today we did a sponsored 5 mile run to raise awareness for alcohol and drug abuse. It went brilliantly and we raised lots of money :D just wanted to share the good news x

Look, it sounded like you were doubting her post because she said mile and lives in England. If you knew anything about England you'd know they use miles. So, you appeared to be dumb.

Now, please feel free to inform me about how I misinterpreted your "thinking smiley" or how it was completely justified for you to doubt her along those grounds.

Seriously.

Seriously.

When I lived in Europe, the metric system was the only unit of measurement used. Even the link that you provided states that the metric system is still the official system used.

I think her previous posts are more than enough to make people doubt her future posts.

But way to pick a cause to rally behind, I guess.

You didn't live in the UK then? Because the UK and the EU are pretty damn different including the fact that they require the use of miles to measure distances.

If you're going to doubt or criticize the OP have some actual grounds to do it on. Instead you just look ignorant. If you have to makeup or imagine reasons for doubting her, then it's just pathetic. I said my piece in her original thread, but I'm not going to post-stalk a 16 year old for acting like a 16 year old.

Well, shit. Now I feel like less of a man.

Thanks a lot, username :(

The Brits always use miles, pounds, yards etc, even though all of the other European countries don't.

Interesting.

My company's European HQ is in London, so we have a bunch of folks from over there that come to our US HQ (where I work). I've heard them use pounds, but distance was always stated in KM. This lined up with what I noticed when I lived over there.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your penis. I'm sure it'll grow back.

Seriously, stop trying to justify that you were incredibly wrong because the OP was dumb in a previous thread.

I sure hope so. I need that thing.

And, again, what a cause to rally behind.

If you search any UK marathon it is measured in miles. I can't believe you're having a go at me when I'm talking about running for charity! I know I was wrong in my first thread and I have learnt my lesson, but please don't make every thread I post into an argument. Drolefille, thank you for being more sensitive.
