Problems with G-Mail
 

Hi Everyone,

Hopefully you all will have an answer for me. You've been very helpful in the past. :) My laptop works fine with websites and is about 3 years old. The software works fine.

The problem...gmail. I have an account I opened, as well as one I had to check with a volunteer position I held last year. It takes forEVER to open and read an email. I'm not talking even 30 seconds. I'm talking minutes. I can open google docs easily and even GC runs quick for me. This is the only web application that I am having problems with. Any ideas?

That has happened to me before as well. Try clearing out all the cookies in your web-browser to give it a "fresh start." I'm pretty sure that's what I have had to do a few times before to fix it.

This was happening with mine as well, and it stopped spontaneously. I have no idea what fixed it.

Which browser are you using? Also, when it takes longer than thirty seconds to load, does it present you with an option for slower connections? Do you have "private browsing" or any sort of history blocker/filter enabled on your browser?

I do that pretty regularly.

I'm using IE7. No to the rest of the questions.

I've always been able to find solutions to my GMail drama here.

I did have issues with Gmail using InternetExplorer. Google Chrome fixed them all.

*If you hadn't guessed, I'm a Google Chrome fan.

How much of your storage space are you using?

I have only one email. I can't get it to function enough to even use it for anything.
The volunteer box had many more, but I tried to erase some and it didn't make it any faster. :(
