Crossing Party Lines
...not that kind.
Now that election day has come to an end, would you or did you cross party lines to vote for the candidate who you believed to be most deserving of your vote? In my city, many people crossed party lines in this election. It actually was recommended by unions, clergy, community leaders and other politicans that voters cross party lines. I did not. In the future, I may, depending on the candidate. What about you? |
I wouldn't hesitaite to cross party lines.
I consider myself a moderate, although I register as a democrat. Crossing party lines should be a necessary part of any election. Just because one issue is important to a party, does not mean that the candidate in your area will endorse it. In fact, a Rep. Governor in a democratically controlled house (like we have in Mass.) has been good because the government is not so one-sided. @ Ms Onyx, mentioning unions, I supposed the unions decided to forego the usual democratic ticket and vote republican. I am very interested in knowing why. |

I remember a discussion on this board during last year's election and debating whether or not we as African-Americans are taken for granted by a particular party. It would be interesting if more of us did it and shake things up a bit. |
I'm an INDEPENDENT voter. Therefore, I can "swing" from one candidate to another. If you espouse the ideals that I agree with, then, you get my vote! :D
