interest meeting

hi i am interested in being apart of an organization here on my campus. recently there was an interest meeting that i couldn't not attend. i do have friends who went to the interest meeting and said they gave out information on recording volunteer hours and the guidelines for writing an interest letter. does this most likely mean that they will have a line this semester. and if so is it bad that i didn't attend? i do know some of the AKA's on my campus, including my RA. would it be bad if i went and talked to her about it? they haven't had any events on campus thus far however they are working with a local organization in our area this sSaturday in which they needed donated items. I donated things but just wasn't able to attend the interest meeting. what would be my best bet??

Your best bet would be to clean up your spelling, punctuation and grammar. If you are as slipshod in your pursuit of membership as you are in these areas, you certainly will always be "apart" from any sorority.

Membership questions like this aren't answered here on GC and no one knows about the chapter on your campus in particular. You should be asking the members on your campus these questions and you should have contacted them prior to not attending the meeting for further instruction. At this point, it would be smart of you to contact a member. I doubt that getting second hand info from a friend is acceptable.

Yes, I understand. Seems as if social networking gets to me more than I thought. Would you be able to answer this question for me?

and if you want to be apart of something, just don't join.

Make sure you do plenty of research both locally and nationally

I could be wrong, but this statement alone, tells me what organization you're interested in. Always put your BEST foot forward, while remaining yourself at all times. It may take some time, but you should first show yourself to be scholarly. Good luck! :)
