Expansion Wichita State
 

Last year I attended KU and became an Alpha Gam! I loved it so much but I had to transfer to Wichita State University this fall. I heard that WSU greek life would like to expand so I was wondering the if there was any possibility of AGD starting a chapter there! I miss being in a sorority so much so I would be so super happy if it happened!

Expansion is not that easy. Once a college Panhellenic votes to open for expansion, NPC groups are notified, and those groups not present on that campus can choose to submit an interest packet. This choice is not done lightly - much research needs to go into whether or not the chapter can be supported on the local level by alumnae, as well as numerous other factors.

Then the college Panhellenic then has the opportunity to look through packets submitted and from there choose which organizations should come to campus to present. Choice(s) is then made from the groups who present on that campus.

Basically, what you have is a mutual selection process.

Starting a new chapter is extraordinarily expensive. Decisions to even submit a packet are not taken lightly.

I can assure you that our Expansion team is doing an excellent job, and if the criteria line up accordingly for any campus open for expansion, a packet will be submitted.
