Kappa Sigma Colony of Mt. Pleasant, MI

We are a new colony in Mt. Pleasant, MI trying to become a chapter by the end of this semester. If anyone has any suggestions and tips to speed up the process that would be greatly appreciated.

I think we have a couple of Kappa Sigmas on here, but honestly I doubt you would get much help here as each fraternity does expansion very differently.

Also, I'm not sure how the process could be sped up. There should be an outline of what needs to be accomplished before a group is granted chapter status.

Right now were in the process of getting onto IFC. Our only issue right now is talking our Greek Life adviser into allowing us to get our charter, hes being very stubborn.

What kind of tips do you think would "speed up" the process of getting your GL office to grant you a charter (which doesn't seem correct)?

We have been trying to get our charter for 2 years now and we seem to get no where because of our GL adviser. Hes pretty much just saying no because he can, which really isn't fair at all.

Are you sure it's the GL advisor and not the IFC at CMU thats saying no to expansion?
Are there any local Requirements to be recognized that you guys aren't meeting? I feel like there's a lot you're leaving out.
