Informal recruitment?
 

I was just wondering how informal recruitment usually works. Do you talk to every house that is participating and rate them like in formal reccruitment? Or do you just choose one house to try? I've been reading a few threads trying to figure it out but I can't seem to! I know it must be different at every school, but if anyone knows how it works (or has gone through it) at their school I'm interested to know the process. Thanks!

P.S. I go to FSU so if anyone has a story about that, that would be extra helpful. But like I said, all stories/information would be helpful!

At FSU, you need to let the GA office know that you are available for COB. They will let the groups who are doing COB know. The participating groups will then invite you to events if they are interested in you. You don't rank them or anything because there is no formal process with the GA office. They simply invite you, you attend and then they vote whether or not to give you a bid. It's all done one-on-one. If you have friends in the participating groups, you should let them know also that you are available for COB.
