Kappa Sigma Withdraws Charter of Its U of Alabama Chapter; Appeal Is Being Processed
Unfortunate news: Kappa Sigma has withdrawn the charter of its chapter at the U of Alabama. That decision is being appealed; see:
http://www.tuscaloosanews.com/articl...100919793/1007 Excerpts from article: Mitchell Wilson, executive director of the of the national Kappa Sigma Fraternity . . . . said there was a violation of conduct rules over alcohol and social functions. See also the report from the U of Alabama student paper's site: http://www.cw.ua.edu/2010/09/13/kapp...arter-revoked/ |
Damn, when are they going to get it. Tennesee, Mississippi, Southern Mississippi, Clemson, Vanderbilt and now Alabama. Most of the others have recolonized but I guess the actives think they are 10 feet tall and bullet proof. As with most Fraternities, Kappa Sig takes risk management very seriously.
UCF won their appeal with National but this doesn't look good for the Beta Chapter. I suspect their alums are very pissed. |
Sorry, Ghostwriter. That's a shame.
